Dishwasher not washing. Dishwasher repair in Corona and East Vale Ca. with Apco Appliance and Air. This dishwasher was not washing dishes well because there was no water entering the machine. First thing to do is check the water float inside the dishwasher below the lower rack. Make sure there is not anything under it keeping the cup up. If it is clear, then more then likley, the problem is this........ The water inlet valve was not opening because it is bad. You could here the valve humming or buzzing very faintly. The valve works off of 110 volts, so if you have a meter you can check voltage to it. If it has voltage, water is not coming in and water is present at valve then the valve is bad. Here are a few pics....

Whirlpool washer repair in Chino Hills Ca. by Apco Appliance and Air (http://www.apcoplus.com). This washer would not agitate or spin anymore. This machine has a lid switch that engages when you close the lid. This switch is located in the control panel area. To access the switch, you remove the two Phillips heads screws behind the panel and lift the panel up. Make sure you unplug the machine before working on it. These switches clip into the frame and sometimes the switch will POP out of the spot or the lock clip will break. When it breaks you have to replace the switch assembly. Here are some pics....

Refrigerator repair in Chino Ca. & Ontario Ca. by Apco Appliance and Air. This Whirlpool/Kenmore model refrigerator stoped cooling on the customer. The fan in the freezer was running and you could here the fan in the back by the compressor running but not the compressor. The tech Dave checked voltage to the compressor and 110 volts plus or minus was present. The compressor tried to start a few times but was kicking off by the over load on the starting components. So the tech installed a new over load, relay and capacitor kit to replace the old one. The compressor started right up..... The units condencer (which should be cleaned once a year) was completely clogged. This is more then likely what contributed to the components going out. They were lucky it wasn't the compressor. Here are some pics..

GE refrigerator repair, unit is not cooling in Chino Ca. & Ontario Ca. by Apco Appliance and Air. This unit was not cooling well in the refrigerator or freezer section. The tech Dave pulled the refrigerator out and removed the back cover to find the refrigerator condencer 100% clogged. This over heats the compressor and will throw off the freon pressures for the system. It is a must to clean the condencer once a year on every refrigerator unit. This customer was very lucky it did not damage any components as of yet. Here are some pics of the GE condencer....

Whirlpool / Kenmore dryer not stoping when door is opened or starting. Dryer repair in Corona Ca. & East Vale Ca. with Apco Appliance and Air, your neighborhood Appliance repair company. This dryer would not turn off when the customer opens there door while the dryer is running. In the top left coroner of the door jam on this Whirlpool / Kenmore style dryer is a black lever that engages and disengages the dryer safty door switch. When this lever breaks (lever is molded along with switch so you have to replace the hole door switch) the dryer will either not run anymore, or have the same issue as this customer has, were the unit does not shut off when the door is opened. Changing this switch is not to hard. Always unplug the machine!!! You take a butter knife to POP up the control panel, remove the 3 screws holding the top on, unplug door switch and then remove the 2 screws holding the switch to the frame located in door jam. Repeat steps backwards to install new switch. Here are some pics...
