Apco Appliance and Air in East Vale & Corona Ca. working on air conditioner not cooling. This AC condencing unit was not starting. When the customer turned on the wall thermostat they hear a click from the contactor and then a buzzing noise. This is becoming very common do to the high temp days we have been having. Dave opened up the control panel to find the run capacitor bad. This one you could see the top of the capacitor bowing up which is a good visual indicator that it is bad. The humming noise was coming from the contactor engaging and the compressor trying to start. Another run capacitor replaced and a happy cool customer. Here are some pics..
