What he witnessed is that the ignitor would glow and was glowing and glowing and glowing. It would not shut off. Most dryers have what is called a flame sensor. This part is suppose to see the light of the ignitor, shut the ignitor off and then open gas sylenoid. This happens simultaneous, that is, the shutting off of the ignitor and the release of gas. The ignitor is not suppose to stay on all the time. Flame switch is bad........
