Appliance and Air-conditioning repair in Chino Hills Ca. / Chino Ca. Apco Appliance and Air is working on an air conditioner leaking water at the furnace area. Usually a leak at your furnace area is caused by a clogged drain line. Not this time... This units pan for the coil was cracked. The pans are attached to the coil so you can not just change the pan without changing the coil also. There is a drain pipe attached to the pan so when it fills with water that is condensed by warm air flowing over the coil, the water flows outside. With the pan cracked the water was leaking inside the house. There is an adhesive designed to seal the pans that are cracked. It is white in color and sets within a couple of hours. This sealant doesn't always work but it is far cheaper then changing the coil assm. Here's a few pics....
