Apco Appliance and Air in Corona ca. / East Vale ca. repairing GE oven that won't heat. Tech. Dave arrived at customers and turn thermostat on but the oven ignitor did not glow. He then removed oven cover exposing burner and ignitor. He turned oven on and then checked for 110 volts at the oven ignitor. Voltage was there, so if the ignitor was good it should have turned on and heated up. But it did not which means ignitor was bad. This is very common to happen to gas ovens after 4-6 years of age.
