Dishwasher not washing. Dishwasher repair in Corona and East Vale Ca. with Apco Appliance and Air. This dishwasher was not washing dishes well because there was no water entering the machine. First thing to do is check the water float inside the dishwasher below the lower rack. Make sure there is not anything under it keeping the cup up. If it is clear, then more then likley, the problem is this........ The water inlet valve was not opening because it is bad. You could here the valve humming or buzzing very faintly. The valve works off of 110 volts, so if you have a meter you can check voltage to it. If it has voltage, water is not coming in and water is present at valve then the valve is bad.
