If you are thinking of moving your air conditioner, read this first. Air Conditioning and Appliance repair in Chino and Chino Hills Ca. This customer called about there air conditioner not cooling any longer. When Dave arrived he could see that the inside fan was running and the outside unit as well. So he then proceeded take check the freon and found there was a leak. After doing some leak checks he found the leak had to be from the outside wall to the outside unit. Problem was that the customer had the unit moved around to the side of the house by running the tubing underground. To top that off, whoever ran it under ground did not run the lines in any piping. So the freon pipes were put under ground surrounded by dirt and moisture all these years. They should have been ran in a 4-6 inch tube to protect them from corrosion which probably caused the leak. The cheapest fix is to use a sealant that you can put in the system to seal the leak from inside out. That's what we did and the customer is now up and running. Here are some pics...
