Information on LG dryers that stop heating dew to clogged ventilation. Dryer repair in Chino Hills Ca. with Apco Appliance and Air. This was an LG dryer that is about 3 years old that stoped heating. Customer told me that they cleaned there dryer vent to the outside. I asked if it was really clogged and they told me it was so bad that there was but a little air flowing out. I new what happened so I started to disassemble the unit to get my hands on the resetable thermostat located on the lower part of the burner chamber. This thermostat is a safty for the amount of heat that builds in the chamber. When the vent gets clogged, the heat doesn't exhaust out fast enough, so it builds and the thermostat trips. Once you access the resetable thermostat, you just push the little resetable button in that is in the center of it. Here are some pics....
