This machine when turned on made a horrible screeching noise..We opened the door to access the four screws holding the front panel on. We removed the screws and pulled the front panel forward. Remember to always unplug the unit before trying to open it up. Dave then preceded to unhook the belt from the motor and idler pulley. he then removed the 5/16 inch screws holding the filter box and glide front assembly. He then removed the tub so he could look at the 2 rollers and idler pulley. Dave then spun the idler pulley and there was a scratching noise.He the spun each roller by hand and then.... Bang...there went the noise. This is a common problem with these machines after 5 years. Sometimes you can just sand down the shafts and throw some white grease on to quite noise. But on this one the rollers and pulley were worn down to much. Here's some pics to see the parts..
