The F1 function code error is becoming a very common problem with these units. 99.9% of the time this code is a result of a faulty primary control board. It usually happens after 3 years but I have ran into it a little after a year in some cases. I have attached pics of the control and the F1 error displayed. Order a primary control board and that should fix your F1 problems. There are 3 screws behind the control panel. Remove them to access the board. Make sure you unplug any unit you attempt to work on yourself. Hope this helps.
