Air Conditioning repair, unit not starting in Chino Hills Ca. & Chino Ca. by Apco Appliance and Air. We arrived to the house finding the inside fan motor running but not the outside condencer. First check your breaker and then your fuses if this happens to you. The tech Dave removed the control panel and checked that the voltage of 220 was at the contactor and it was. If you are not a certified tech., make sure you turn off the breaker and pull the fuses before you open the control panel. Dave then saw the contactor was ingaged, so he knew it had 24 volts, so he pulled the power and checked continuity accross L1 & L2. He had it on one side but not the other. You could see as in the pics attached that the contactor is burnt on one side. We replaced the contactor so now the voltage can pass threw to start the compressor to cool the customers house.
