Another dryer problem caused by a possible clogged vent to the outside. Dryer repair in Corona Ca. with Apco Appliance and Air. This is a whirlpool dryer not heating anymore. When the tech arrived he started the unit and there seemed to be no power to the gas valve or ignitor. Most dryers have a thermal fuse on the exhaust chamber. Whirlpool and Kenmore units are in the back or front. Maytag units have it in the front only. When this fuse blows it cuts power to the ignition system to prevent a fire hazard situation. Cause of failure is either age related or a clogged vent to the outside. Here are pics of whirlpool/kenmore style unit....
